Chesapeake Weight Loss is wonderful. Dr.s Chastanet has done a wonderful job with me. I had a sleeve done in 2013 and lost about 120 pounds. Then we had a tragedy in our house and I regained weight; totally my fault. I never lost the work Dr. Bob did for me. My stomach has remained small, but I couldn't lose what I gained. Dr. Rachel and her team had the pounds coming off much to my amazement.

Dr. Rachel, thanks for helping to save my life!! I have lost weight and feel great! I am able to play with my children, work thoroughly all day, exercise and most of all understand that carbs and sugars are not my friends. My lifestyle would not have been any different without your help! I was 235 when I started to see you (Sept.) and thought surgery was the only was the only way, but actual weight loss has worked for me (today I weighed 185) and I love it!!! Thanks for helping me live longer to be around my 4 girls and extend my life and decrease my odds of diabetes, sleep problems, heart disease, and much more! Most of all, hopefully I can live longer!! I feel Awesome!!! Thanks again!!

I would like to thanked the whole staff at Chesapeake weight loss that have made my experience so wonderful. Especially Dr. Rachel Chastanet, who has taught myself so much and corrected myself on what I thought one had to do in order to lose weight. The kinds words and encouragement each visit when sometimes I did not want to go only to feel energize with what was still possible after each visit and not to beat myself up. So great to have such support as I continue towards my goals. Weight or no weight I truly believe in the friends at Chesapeake Weight Loss. I feel better about myself and the compliments I have received from friends and family only continue to fuel me towards my goals. So I encourage all to take that first step and feel better about themselves as I did making some new friends as well. Again, thanks!
P.S. May 2014
I have battled excess weight all my life, and losing this excess weight and keeping it off had been the only goal in my life that I was unable to accomplish. I had been on many diets, exercise programs, etc., but finally, it seemed to me that this goal was not obtainable …until I met Dr. Rachel Chastanet. I attended a seminar on her Medical Weight Loss Program last November. I decided for one last time to make an earnest commitment to meet with Dr. Rachel and follow her plan. I started the Medical Weight Loss Program on November 29, 2013 (yes, the day after Thanksgiving). I chose this date because I was determined that I was not going to gain even more weight during the upcoming Christmas holiday!
Dr. Rachel has worked with me closely and taught me not only what to eat and not eat, and valuable food choice options, but the importance of exercise and the role it plays in losing the weight and keeping it off for good. When I started the program I weighed in at 239 lbs. (I am 5’2” tall) and I was barely squeezing into a size 24 pants. My first personal goal was to reach the 200 lb. mark. This goal seemed almost impossible to me at the beginning. However, I did reach my first goal and found that Dr. Rachel’s coaching and medical information was invaluable on my quest to lose the weight. Now, approximately 7 months later, I am so happy to say that I have reached 189 lbs. losing a total of 50 pounds, 9” from my waist and am wearing regular size 18 pants (much to my amazement). Also, my BMI has gone from 43.7 to 35.1 and continues to improve. I’ve learned the facts and strategies for successful weight loss (thanks, Dr. Rachel for teaching and empowering me to be a much slimmer and healthier new person!) My next personal goal: to reach 150 lbs. and be able to wear size 10 pants. I know now that I can do this! Many thanks to Dr. Rachel and the staff at Chesapeake Weight Loss for all your support and encouragement. I feel like together we make a very successful team!

This couple lost a combined 175 pounds and they are working on more!
My weight has been an issue for a long time, but when I was younger, I could control it by doing a lot of exercise. Whenever I became too busy or injured to exercise a lot, my weight would go up. The worst struggles were with pregnancies. I gained over 80 lbs. with the third one, and it was very hard to get any of it back off. As I aged, even lots of exercise and being hungry almost all the time wasn’t enough. Changing to low carbohydrate eating made all the difference, not only in losing and keeping weight off, but in how happy (not hungry) my life is.

John was a normal weight toddler, but when he was 5, he learned how to play video games and get his own food out of the cabinets…and steal his big brothers’ Halloween candy. I was deployed in Iraq as he started Kindergarten, and I came home to find that he had put on 20 pounds in less than a year. We tried keeping him active and limiting the junk food, but it just wasn’t enough. Eventually we took all the simple carbs out of the house, and stopped nagging. Instead we just modelled good eating and activity behavior. Eventually he decided that he wanted to lose weight, and set his mind to eating less and exercising more. He says that he figured out that every minute he was hungry was a minute he was getting skinnier. He lost 55 lbs. over about 8 months. Now he eats a diet with lots of protein and very few simple carbohydrates or sugars.
